It would have to be held in place by hand. Therefore, it would not be safe for your tool, your project or yourself to use the with this smaller Model Which you can find on Amazon, and Home Depot as well.

I use both. Rt angle. Flex is good over all for small places. I also use foot pedal for starting and speed control. The flex shaft would be much easier to use in a confined space. Smaller diameter than both the Dremel and the right angle. The angle attachment allows you to use it like a angle grinder. The head is able to lock into several different angles. I do a lot of different kind of things.

So I orded these 2 things. Since installing the Right Angle Attachment I leave it permanently installed. It gives better fine control than the flex shaft for precision cuts, and the ergonomics of the RAA makes using the Dremel much easier in almost every application. The flex shaft is better for really tight spots, but I don't seem to run into that situation very often.

If I was doing general work then this option would not make a difference. I just hand tighten the standard chuck. This is akin to having a keyless chuck without the expense. I have done some demanding cutting and the chuck has never failed to hold the bit.

I leave the right angle on all the time, works great. It's also fairly inexpensive, as Dremel goes. Hope this helps?? But as far as I know, any other other keyless chucks made probably won't fit. Finger tight is generally sufficient but the Dremel chuck wrench can be used if the bit or tool slips.

I use one on mine instead of the collet. I have both and it does not work. I only have the series which it does work on nicely. You cannot mount oscillating bits from multi-max. As it gives you a better angle to work with.

Only downside the cutting discs are so extremely small, it would only work for specific scenarios. For cutting say carpets id say yes. I am reasonably sure that it doesn't change the nature of the tool's action to allow an oscillating action. I use it on mine. As others have mentioned, it's a bit noisy though. You replace the collet and collet nut with the drive adapter which comes with the right angle attachment.

The drive adapter looks like a silver collet nut but has a square hole to accept the square tapered shaft of the right angle attachment. You unscrew the housing cap of the tool to reveal the male threads that the attachment's collar will screw onto as the square shaft goes into the drive adapter.

Use the round shaft of any dremel bit to secure the right angle tool as you now reinstall the collet and collet nut onto the right angle attachment. Set the housing cap aside. That's all there is to it.
